I do not want to take more punishment than a 7mag dishes out. I want a gun that is a excellent all-around elk rifle (for close range and cross-canyon shots). I am open to any caliber as I plot to handload. Thanks.

i have a c11 and was wondering if it can take out small game like fox, squirrels, rats, etc…
